This Gurudwara In Indirapuram Is Saving Lives With Their Unique 'Oxygen Langar'

As the city is being gripped by the spiralling second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s a grim scene as we come across so many looking for oxygen cylinders or hospital beds, and other resources every day on our social media. Read how a gurudwara in neighbouring Indirapuram has come up with a way to lend help.

Not Just The Traditional Langar | Gurdwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Indirapuram along with an NGO, Khalsa Help International, has taken up the unique initiative to start administering free oxygen to those who need it. Within a day, they were flooded with 700 visitors availing the services of the ‘Oxygen Langar’. Though the group isn’t providing cylinders for home, patients can come to the Indirapuram gurdwara and use them till their oxygen levels normalise, without getting out of their car. The service is available 24 hours a day and often has a long queue of distraught people and cars waiting their turn for the free Oxygen Langar as the volunteers fit the apparatus in their cars. 

They have launched a helpline number (find below) via which people can book their slots. 
The gurdwara is also offering testing facilities to people along with also providing medicines.
