Lately, there’s been a name changing spree and boarding the bandwagon is one such person by the name of Deepak Tanwar who wants to change the name of one of Delhi’s most iconic markets.
Khan Market No More? | A man from Delhi called Deepak Tanwar has urged the Home Minister, Rajnath Singh, to change Khan Market’s name and rename it to Bhagwan Valmiki Market. One of Delhi’s oldest markets, Khan Market has been in existence since 1951 and was supposedly named after Khan Abdul Jabbar Khan, a famed freedom fighter.
In a recent letter to the Home Minister, Deepak Tanwar urged the renaming of Khan Market so that people coming to the market become more aware of the country’s rich mythological past.
