Tejas Express is the Indian Railway’s airplane-like luxurious chair car train and it may soon become the first train in the country to be run by private investors. Here’s all the information about this development!

A Royal Ride To Lucknow | Folks, we just heard that Lucknow-Delhi-Lucknow Tejas Express will soon be rolled off in the first week of October! This train will boast of super impressive features such as aircraft-like WiFi, fancy and comfy seats with personalised reading lights, LCD entertainment-cum-information screens, windows with automatic Venetian blinds, foot-rest in executive class, modular bio-toilets with sensor-based tap buttons, CCTVs and much more - wow!

What’s more is that it’s being considered to be run by private operators which will make it a first of its kind in the country. Plus, plans are being finalised to provide some kind of compensation to the passengers in case of delays!

Swarn Shatabdi Express already runs on the New Delhi-Lucknow Route which departs from New Delhi in the morning. Hence, reverse timings have been allotted to this one. Train Number 12585 Lucknow Junction-New Delhi will leave from the Lucknow in the morning at 6:50 AM and reach New Delhi Junction by 1:35 PM while Train Number 12586 will leave from New Delhi at 3:35 PM and will arrive at Lucknow at 10:05 PM. The train will run on 6 days and the fare for this might be higher than that of the Shatabdi Express.

We can’t wait to travel on the ultra-luxe train!
