Are you someone who has plans to fly out of Delhi in the coming months? If yes, then you must pay attention to this piece of news, ‘cause there’s a development happening at the Indira Gandhi International Airport!

A Change Of Plans | So, we just heard that the IndiGo and SpiceJet airlines are planning to move either all or some of their flights from Terminal 2 (T2) to Terminal 3 (T3). The T2 is being revamped so that it can accommodate more flights. SpiceJet will move all its flights from T2 while IndiGo will move some of them from 5th September onwards.

The development is taking place 2 years after the T2 was re-opened and some of the flights from T1 were moved here. This is a part of the grand scheme of the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) to expand the capacity of the airport! There are various other changes that will be happening under the plan. These include merging of Terminals 1D and 1C and once it’s ready the flights that were moved to T2 temporarily will be moved back.

The existing T2 will then be demolished to make way for the new T4. Hence, SpiceJet and IndiGo will be operating from all the three terminals, but IndiGo’s flights at T1 will remain unaffected! Make sure you read the terminal number clearly before boarding the flight!
