We Delhiwalas go to great lengths for our food! We love our Satya Niketan, CP and Hudson Lane as much as we love our purani Dilli ki galiyan. We’re ready to travel all the way to Dilli Haat for those ah-mazing momos and root beer and are ever-ready to venture into Chandni Chowk for its to-die-for chaat and mutton dishes. Basically, we don’t mind travelling half the city just to get our hands on our fave grub, but here comes the big question - when you have great foodie gems in your neighbourhood, why go anywhere else? For all our lovelies in East Delhi, we got down and dirty to get you the best restaurants in Preet Vihar that’ll save you a trip to South Delhi, check ‘em out!

1. Berco’s

Okay, we know Berco’s isn’t unique to Preet Vihar but that doesn’t undermine the fact that these guys serve the most amazing Chinese and Thai food, EVER! From their yummy Chicken Manchow Soup to their drool-worthy Cheese and Garlic Wontons, these guys never disappoint! Also, don’t forget to order their Fruit Beer, it’s yummy and refreshing and will make all that grub go down easy!

2. 4th Street Cafe

An absolute favourite in the hood, this cafe is perfect for casual hogging dates with friends or bae! For a lil cafe, the menu at this place has a lot to offer - from salads to pastas to some really cool mocktails - they pretty much got it all. Our personal fave and what we strongly recommend are the Roasted Salami and Mumbai Masala Sandwich here! 

P.S. - Don’t forget to try their Go Crazy mocktail, it’s yum AF!

3. Salt Cafe Kitchen & Bar

This pretty restaurant serves you everything from North Indian to Continental to Thai! They have some of the most amazing Chilli Paneer, Paneer Tikka Masala, Buffalo Wings, Dal Makhani and Phirni you’ll ever try! Aaannd, they have a rooftop seating area too *yasss*! Yummy food with an overview of the city, could it get any better than this?!  

P.S. - Don’t forget to check out their bar menu, they have some yummy cocktails and mocktails as well!

4. Tesoro Mio

One of the most famous and fave hang-out places for East Delhi peeps, Tesoro Mio had to be on the list! Pretty interiors, awesome music and ah-mazing food - this place has it all! They have some of the best shakes and mocktails for you and we’re in love with their Chocolate Shake and Watermelon Mojito. Coming to food, you have to try their Cottage Cheese Steak, Chilli Potatoes and Peri Peri Chicken. Come over and dig in!

If you wanna treat your tastebuds to some nice Japanese and Asian delicacies, then you have to check out this place. Their Sushi Bar is amazing and you HAVE to sample their dim sums. Aaandd, don’t even get us started on their yummy shakes, they’re all amazing! We’ll just see you there then?!

6. Chinese Hut

And how can any neighbourhood in Delhi survive without a Chinese restaurant? Our love for this cuisine is never-ending and so is our search for new places to have it at, and this one is a must try if you’re looking to satiate your Chinese food cravings in East Delhi. The noodles here are an absolute fave! They also serve some amazing North Indian food that you can gorge on as well, so head on over!

An outdoor cafe that serves good food and totally delicious coffees and shakes while not destroying your monthly budgets - this cafe is all this and more! Their Cheesy Garlic Bread is supremely cheesy, the Barbecue Chicken Pizza is damn good, the Hazelnut Frappe is a caffeine-soaked delight and we could do on, so get your friends along and try this place out!

Who in their right mind would ever say no to a place that has an amazing buffet? Definitely not us and if you love your food as we do, then Unlimited Food Factory should be on your list too! These guys have a buffet starting at just Rs 475 and our foodie soul is totes loving it. Don’t forget to try out their Mutton Rogan Josh and Paneer Shashlik - they’re all things yummy!

Craving waffles? Well, if you are in Preet Vihar then there’s no way you’re gonna miss out on this awesome-sauce place!
