These 5 Yummilicious Starters @ Junkyard In Saket Will Kickstart Your Weekend Just Right!

People often overlook the importance of a good starter in the course of a meal. We, however, cannot keep our hands off of those delectable appetizers listed on the menu card *chuckles*. Besides, we have faith in what appetizers promise to do - they help stimulate one’s appetite and why wouldn’t we want that?! 

So on our most recent outing to Junkyard Cafe in Saket, we pounced on these 5 yummy starters and just had to tell y’all about it - read on!

1. Bok Choi & Mushroom Dimsums

This is how you do veg dimsums right! If you thought there weren’t enough veg options on offer, then you gotta taste this dish. The Chinese cabbage with its mild peppery taste mixed in with mushrooms, ginger, garlic and sesame oil - it tasted wonderful AND came with five varieties of dips to go with it!

2. Chicken Kothe Dimsums

We are momo-holics and obviously we tried a veg and non-veg variant apiece. The Chicken Kithe Dimsums contain all the deliciousness that chicken promises you. With minced garlic and crunchy onions, we loved this pan fried version of our momos with their crusty covering. The presentation and the dips - both left us fully impressed!

3. Falafel With Pita Bread & Hummus

Guys, you know we aren’t kidding when we tell you that more often than not, eateries produce a flawed rendition of this traditional Lebanese preparation. This one however, did full and complete justice to the dish and we quite enjoyed the well done falafel with fragrant herbs along with the hummus & those pickled veggies! *YUM*

4. Tandoori Prawns With Wasabi Mayo

Laalach aye lap-lapaye, eh?! No wonder that has your mouth watering, ‘cause it did the same to us! We LOVE prawns and its tandoori version is right up our alley! As stellar as the prawns tasted, we must give a shout out to the Wasabi Mayo, because we felt it really complemented the prawns. Hot wasabi + creamy mayo = bliss!

5. Wasabi Peas Aloo Tikki

Yeah, we kinda like our wasabi (way) too much and ended up ordering this baby! Aloo tikki - need we say more? But yeah before you judge us for ordering this at a restaurant, you gotta get a taste of it. Aloo and peas blended in with wasabi, we really liked this version of our good ol’ aloo. Desi with a lil videsi touch. It was totally delicious!
