These 13 Delhi Road Stretches Likely To Get LED Screens, Green Patches & More By 2019

Have you noticed the pretty vertical gardens, lush green patches and beautiful designs carved on stones near Minto Road? If not, then you’ve got to check ‘em out ASAP! And meanwhile, we have some great news for you. 

Look What’s Getting All Decked Up! | Minto Road is amongst the 13 stretches that the NDMC has identified for beautification and urban landscaping, wherein each road is gonna have a unique theme of its own! These 13 stretches include Tilak Marg, Firoz Shah Road, Abdul Kalam Road, Baba Kharak Singh Marg, Aurobindo Marg, Kasturba Gandhi Marg, Barakhamba Road and more! So are you ready to see the city all decked up?

The aim behind this creative revamp is to make these roads look pretty and pedestrian-friendly. The NDMC wants to increase infrastructural facilities on these roads so that a larger number of people use them. So in addition to installing green patches, you’ll also find smart poles, ornamental lights, LED screens and more on these stretches. NDMC’s target for completion of the beautification of these stretches is December 2019.

Also, NDMC is gonna renovate public spaces like museums, parks, memorials and more so that these attract an increasing number of visitors. So at the Windsor Palace, located near Janpath, these guys have planned to install a 75-feet tall fountain! Woah. 

You are also likely to find wider and disabled-friendly footpaths, zebra crossings, proper placement of signages, traffic booths and more!
