Hey Delhizens! We’re back with some more metro news for you, since we know how beloved apni Dilli Metro is for all of us. So read on and find out what’s brewing - it’s good news, we assure you!

GPS Enabled E-Ricks To Make Life Easier! | To boost last mile connectivity in Dwarka, DMRC (our fave peeps) has rolled out e-rickshaw services at eight stations in Dwarka. So yep, life just became a little bit easier for us!

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal recently inaugurated 100 e-rickshaws called SmartE that’ll ply from Dwarka Sector 10 Metro Station. GPS-enabled, these rickshaws will operate within three to four kms of the metro station.

The base price for these environment-friendly e-rickshaws has been set at Rs 10 for the first two kms and Rs 5 for every subsequent km. DMRC is also working with SmartE to enable the usage of metro smart cards for rides in these rickshaws.

The idea behind these electronic rickshaws is to encourage commuters to use eco-friendly modes of transport in a bid to fight the notorious Delhi pollution. You people can find these rickshaws outside Dwarka Sectors 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14 Metro Stations between 6 AM to 11 PM.

The number of e-ricks will soon be increased to 200. Till then, enjoy pollution-free rides on these GPS-enabled ricks!
