DelhiThere May Soon Be Red Light Free Connectivity B/W Anand Vihar & Tikri Border & Here's How
Delhizens, we’re back with another cool initiative that’ll make travelling on Delhi roads all the more easier and quicker! Curious? Read on!
Here’s What’s Brewing | Delhi may soon boast of traffic signal-free connectivity from East Delhi’s Anand Vihar to Tikri Border in the west. However, there’s a condition. For this to happen, a 39 km-long elevated corridor needs to be approved, which is currently facing some land availability issues.
The elevated corridor will begin from ISBT Anand Vihar and stretch to Ring Road, crossing the WHO building. The Anand Vihar to DDU Marg shall be elevated. Also, a tunnel between Zakhira and Sahib Singh Verma Marg has also been proposed, that’ll pass via DB Gupta Road. From Zakhira, the corridor will be elevated once again and head towards Tikri Border, as it passes Peeragarhi.
As per officials, this project, if approved, will take at least three years for completion. We’re hoping this definitely pans out!
