1. The Hansraj Projekt, Hansraj College

“Music is art, art is imagination and imagination is limitless”. Living by these words is the most active society of Hansraj College, an amazing band called The Hansraj Projekt. Aimed at breaking boundaries, it is a world fusion outfit that covers artists ranging from Javed Akhtar & Pritam to Raghu Dixit. Their performances move the audience through their mesmerizingly sentimental melodies!

2. Ibtida, Hindu College

This society was founded by the popular Indian director Imtiaz Ali who still takes an active interest in making the society better and more fruitful for the students vying to get in! This society also holds its annual theatre fest called 'Medina', which is a big hit in the University. Hindu students, this is one society to join if you're a theatre/acting enthusiast!

3. Glitz, Kamala Nehru College

The society is put together by fashion lovers and individuals that take every aspect of fashion seriously, very seriously! Various publications have declared it to be the best fashion society in DU. And no wonder, for the society salutes every aspect of womanhood and fuses it with fashion to create looks that give a boost to the personality within. Woah!

4. Shunya, Ramjas College 

Shunya is Ramjas College’s Drama Society whose team works like a well-oiled machine, which makes them so efficient and powerful at their craft! DramSocs are a major part of every DU college and most colleges put in a major effort in making theirs the best.

5. The Western Music Society, Lady Shri Ram College 

One of the most vibrant and powerful western music societies that Delhi University has to boast of, WMS specialises in Acapella and they cover various genres of music from jazz to pop, R&B, soul and tons more. They work as a choir as well as individual musicians. Good going girls!

Touted as one of the most vivacious societies of DU, Mudra - The Dance Society of Jesus & Mary College rules the stage! They fill the place/auditorium with such poise, fire, and energy that the audience can do nothing but hoot their hearts out and dance like mad. 8. Enactus, SRCC

Effectively deploying savvy entrepreneurial skills, in order to transform lives, is this very helpful and respectable society - Enactus, belonging to one of the most reputed colleges of Delhi University - SRCC. This theatre society has a golden history of 52 long, amazing years under its belt. It hosts its inter-college theatre festival annually and showcases and analyses the best college street and stage plays of the year in a non-competitive format. Kirorimal, you can be proud of this gem!

10. ANKUR - The Theatre Society, SGTB Khalsa College

Ankur has set a number of benchmarks in street theatre with their highly talented and dedicated team of actors. Their main focus remains on bigger issues like religion, relationships and money. Their play ‘We, The People!’ that spoke of popular participation in democracy got insanely popular and similar efforts have won them various awards across the university.

11. Swaranjali - The Music Society, Hansraj College
