The PM Has Urged Everyone To Light A Lamp On This Day To Show Solidarity Against COVID-19

On the morning of 3rd April, Friday, the Prime Minister addressed the nation at 9 AM and this what he said in his video message. 

The Guiding Lamp | While speaking to the nation through a video message, the PM encouraged the countrymen to turn off all the lights at home and come out to their doorstep or balcony with a torch, flashlight or light up a candle for 9 minutes on Sunday, the 5th of April. The idea behind this is to signify hope and to let everyone know that even if they’re home alone, everyone stands together in this fight against coronavirus. 

This comes amid a 21-day lockdown that the country is under and growing speculation about the extension of the same.
