Folks, remember those days when some of you had to alternate between taking the metro or driving your beloved car to work, college or practically anywhere in the city? Well, guess what?! Word on the street is that those days are coming back to town, ‘cause the Odd-Even Scheme is all set to be rolled out AGAIN in the city!
Look What’s Back | We JUST heard that the Odd-Even Scheme will be making a comeback in the month of November. The Delhi Government recently announced that in order to tackle excessive pollution that engulfs the city in its clutches after Diwali, the scheme will be rolled out from 4th (Monday) to 15th (Friday) of November.
People having ODD registration numbers will be allowed to take their vehicles out on the first day while those with EVEN number plates will be permitted to ply the next day and so on! Every year, Delhi’s air quality becomes threateningly hazardous after Diwali due to crackers and stubble burning in the neighbouring states. The government wishes to combat this by regulating the running of private vehicles.
