IGI airport is one of the busiest airports in the city. But this was not the case last year as it saw a drop in this frequency of flyers. Hello, Delhiites, we’re going to tell you about this phenomenon.

Here’s What You Need To Know | Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International airport sees a number of people travel to and from the city. But there has been a dip in the flow of passengers on the airports of Delhi and Mumbai in 2019 as compared to that of the year 2018. This has happened for the first time since 2008 as the IGI airport saw fewer domestic flights while the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) witnessed a fall in both domestic and international passengers.

IGI recorded a drop by 2.6% out of the 7 crore passenger mark that it hit in 2018 while witnessing a rise in the international flyers by 0.6% and dip in the domestic flyers by 6%. However, even as these two airports saw a dip in the passengers, the country on a whole didn’t see a decline in the passengers.

What do you think about this development?
