The Iconic Nehru Park Is All Set For A Facelift With Fountains, Free WiFi, A Lake & More

Hey Delhizens! How many of you have childhood memories of afternoons spent at the iconic Nehru Park? Did you, like us, excitedly wait for Sunday trips to this age-old park with your family? Ah, we feel you. And did you know that this park is all set for a major revamp? Read on as we give you all the deets.

What’s Going On At Nehru Park? | The NDMC is planning to upgrade Nehru Park and turn it into a park-cum-cultural centre. So the next time you come to this park for your customary walk or jog, look out for a little water body, fountains, improved lighting and special zones for kiddos and elderly people! Now that’s impressive.

There is already a water body inside the park, which lacks proper maintenance. Soon, it’ll be revived and a stage will be placed in the centre of the lake for cultural shows. You’ll also find free WiFi, improved walkways, fencing and more soon.

The revamp work will start by the end of this month and is likely to see completion by March 2019. Once finished, the place will host cultural events every weekend and that sounds awesome!

We can’t wait for one of our favourite parks to see such a major facelift! Weekend trips to the park will soon be double the fun, don’t you think?
