The Glitzy Gurgaon Booze Well May Go Dry: No Alcohol Permitted In DLF Cyber Hub From April!
34 pubs and bars in DLF Cyber Hub near the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway might go dry because the Supreme Court mandated that sale of liquor will not be allowed within 500 metres of any national and state highway. Aww snap!
The excise department has also found out that 109 more pubs and 43 liquor vendors will also lose their licenses on April 1 in compliance with the Apex Court’s order. The bars at various hotels and resorts located on the Expressway also fall under the Red Zone.
On December 15, the Supreme Court had directed states and union territories to cease the sale of liquor within 500 metres of national and the state highways, as well as on service lanes along highways! The closure of these 43 liquor vendors could result in loss of Rs 70.81 crore in revenue per year.
Some markets and pubs in Sector 29 will also be affected! Damn!
Let’s see what happens now guys.
