DelhiThe 'First Coach Women-Only' Rule Is Now Applicable On ALL Metro Lines Except The Red Line
Hello, Delhizens! After much confusion surrounding the women’s coach in the Delhi Metro, the DMRC is finally out with a decision. The recent shuffling of compartments left passengers in a tizzy and somewhat chaotic scenarios at the metro stations. Read on to know what decision has been made!
Women First | The DMRC has announced that all the first coaches in the moving direction of the trains will be reserved for ladies. However, this rule is not applicable to the Red Line as of yet. Earlier the Violet, Green, Pink & Magenta Lines had women coaches at the end of the train but now, this has been changed. Also, the floor graphics and signs are being switched accordingly. We welcome this move as it will lead to uniformity and less confusion across all the metro lines! A similar step will be taken for Red Line as well once it is extended up to Ghaziabad.
Well, the Delhi Metro is always here to make our lives simpler and hearing this has just given us another reason to love the metro. Way to go, DMRC!
