The Dull & Boring Brown Carpet At IGI Airport's T3 Is FINALLY Gonna Be Replaced!

We’re pretty sure you’ve noticed the big, brown carpet endlessly stretching all over at the Terminal 3 of IGI Airport. One giant carpet that is! And very dull and boring, don’t you think? But guess what, that carpet’s finally gonna be replaced! Thank heavens!

Farewell To The Dull Brown Carpet! | Passengers have often complained that the carpet is a true menace, as it stinks and makes dragging the trolleys harder. And so, the carpet is finally gonna be removed and will be replaced by hard flooring.

Now here are the benefits of hard flooring - it requires way less maintenance than a carpet and it is easier to manoeuvre trolleys over it. The carpet has faced a lot of criticism - even security officials have pointed out that the carpet makes it difficult to walk the dog squad for bomb detection. Plus, aesthetically as well, the carpet isn’t pleasing at all, don’t you agree?

The removal of the carpet will start in late October and is likely to see completion by year end. We can’t wait!
