If there's one thing the pandemic has taught us, it's definitely the fact that we all need to help each other and find the way forward. And following these lines, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee is now doing this - Read on!

Good Cause On Wheels | DSGMC on Monday, the 1st of June, started 'Langar On Wheels' which aims to provide food and water to the destitute. Lakhs of people have been pushed to a state of despair even though lockdown restrictions have now been relatively eased. These good samaritans have taken it upon themselves to make sure that no one sleeps hungry and are hence serving food to people living in slums, railway stations, bus stops, shelters and on the pavements. 15 vans will leave Gurudwara Bangla Sahib early in the morning to serve food to the people. This move was taken when several NGOs and institutions which were providing food to the needy, withdrew their services.

Currently, this initiative is taking place for a month but its extension may depend upon how the economic activities resume and when these people are able to sustain themselves. The committee will remain in touch with RWAs and government officials to keep a track of all the places that will need food. And vans with banners which will be highlighting the food and water arrangements for people will be stationed in different places to serve the maximum number of people possible at convenient places while observing social distancing norms.

Sounds like a great initiative, doesn't it?
