The Delhi-Noida Border Will Remain Closed For Regular Travel Until Further Notice

The news for the lockdown extension was announced on the 17th of May and one of the major highlights from the guidelines was that inter and intrastate movement of private vehicles and buses are now allowed. However, Noida authorities have recently confirmed that the Delhi-Noida border will remain sealed for now, and here’s more on this.

Regular Travel Still Not Allowed | After the Centre’s guidelines were announced, it created a lot of confusion and the Noida-Delhi border was choked with traffic on the 18th of May. The Gautam Buddha Nagar administration further stated that until they get clarifications from the UP government, the border will remain closed for now. Moreover, the police even strengthened the patrol on all the entry and exit points connecting Delhi like Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Hapur and Bulandshahr. The Delhi-Haryana border also remains closed.

Only those who work in essential services, like hospitals, deliveries are allowed for now. The authorities have said that the situation would be reviewed once the UP government’s guidelines are issued that is expected to be announced by Tuesday evening.
