The Delhi Government Has Allowed Restaurants To Operate 24x7!

Ever since the pandemic, the restaurant business in the city has been hit badly. With fewer patrons, restricted seating and staggered timings, restaurants in the city have been shutting down at a great speed. But with a fresh new announcement by the Delhi Govt., things are starting to look up! Read on to find out all the deets on this breaking news!

Restaurant Hopping 24X7 | As a major relief for restaurants in Delhi, the Delhi govt. has announced that all restaurants can remain open 24x7 along with the removal of tourism licenses. According to the statement, the govt. also announced abolishing police licenses, health trade licenses from local bodies in order to end the “permit raj”. Such steps will help in generating more employment.

In the meeting, decisions were taken to amend the excise rules that would permit service in open areas, balconies, verandas, additional dispensing counters in premises, and branding without any additional fees, among other things. 

Currently, restaurants are allowed to operate from 11 AM - 11 PM and those licensed to serve liquor can operate from 11 - 1 AM.
