On Thursday, Delhiites woke up to a chilly morning with icy cold winds. It was the 3rd time in a row this week when the temperatures dropped to dangerously low levels, about 10 degrees below normal. The sun did not rise and the biting winds kept us shivering throughout the day. Here’s everything you need to know about this frosty news!

Cold Days, Colder Nights | This month has been the coldest in the past 50 years and the city has been enveloped by grey clouds all week. The reason behind this is the cold spell from the Himalayas. In some parts of the city, the temperature dips to as low as 11 degrees. The sky will remain cloudy and the cold conditions are expected to stay in the severe category.

However, the air quality has remained the same and was in the moderate category with a reading of 168 as per the air quality index. It’s also predicted that the wind speed will slow down by the end of the week and the air quality will deteriorate as well.

Fellas, bundle up, protect yourselves from this frigid weather and avoid any outdoor activities, we suggest.
