Hey there, beer lovers! We’ve got you some awesome news that’ll defo make you do the happy dance. So are you ready? Then come, read on you guys!
Here’s The Good News, Pals! | Delhiites, you might not have to travel all the way to Gurgaon anymore for some freshly brewed beer from a microbrewery! Why? ‘Cause Delhi might have its own very soon. Oh yes, no kidding. So the Delhi Development Authority is reportedly gonna modify the master plan to allow microbreweries in the capital and that’s so great!
According to DDA’s proposal, microbreweries with upto 500 litres per day capacity will be allowed in any restaurant, hotel or club. The Delhi Government had earlier cleared the proposal to set them up in the capital, but it could not be implemented as these were listed under the prohibited list of industries in the Master Plan of Delhi 2021. However, now the excise policy has been amended and that’s great news!
Seeing the huge demand for freshly brewed beer in Gurgaon, Delhi excise officials have decided to allow microbreweries to open in the capital as well. Punjab, Haryana, Maharashtra, Goa and Chandigarh are some of the places that house microbreweries currently.
Although the news isn’t confirmed yet, we’re still waiting with crossed fingers for this proposal to be accepted by all the concerned authorities. And once it is approved, say hello to freshly brewed beer in the city, wohoo!
