Chandni Chowk is a world unto itself with multitudes of specialities from food, clothes, havelis and what not since time immemorial keeping the beauty of its past alive and at the same time ready to embrace the future. Keeping this spirit of Old Delhi alive stands Shyam Sweets which has been its crown jewel since 1910 offering age old delicacies!

Bedmi Puri 

We were welcomed with their famous Bedmi Puri along with Aloo and Sitafal Sabzi. The spicy and masaledar Aloo and delightly sabzi offered a nice contrast to the crisp and filling Bedmi Puris. This dish would definitely make your trip to Chandni Chowk worthwhile!

Nagori Halwa

This unique dish is one of their oldest and finest and includes a soft looking gol gappa type disc called Nagori which is dipped in the honey yellow hued delicious halwa! The perfect combination of Nagori Halwa is a must try, especially for breakfast!

Gobi Ka Samosa

Samosas are a delight for everyone and Shyam Sweets offer a unique flavour! Their famous Gobi Ka Samosa is worth gobbling up - think crisp, golden fried samosas within a riot of masaledar and shredded gobi filling! Overall this one's quite a unique offering, especially when it comes to comparing it to our aloo counterpart.

Ghiya Ki Barfi

One of their oldest dish yet, just as famous as always is their Ghiya Ki barfi which is an amazing blend of the ghiya veggie and the unique flavoured sweetness coupled with its appealing pista green hue is what makes it their most ordered sweet! This unusually brilliant sweetmeat is only available during the summers and we’re glad we got to try it!
