Tucked behind cobwebs, creepers and dry leaves, is a hidden gem called the Mir Taqi Tomb. The grave in the central chamber is missing and its inhabitants, an odd pigeon or two, care little about the men playing golf outside or the carts that scurry around the Delhi Golf Club. Thus, Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage (INTACH) has finally got the nod from the Delhi Government to restore six such monuments and bring them back to life!

Apart from the tomb of Mir Taqi, there’s a mosque dating back to the late-Mughal era, another tomb dating back to 1779-80 AD, the tomb of a Sayyid Abid from 1626-27 AD, a Bagichi and another unknown tomb, inside the Golf Club, all of which will be restored soon!

The only issue that they’ll face here is that these monuments are very difficult to get to, you can’t walk to them directly. A golf cart is needed here to go to the monuments, which will be an issue once the public gets there! People can’t walk around on the golf course simply because people might just get hit by the ball! DAMN!

So let’s see what they do about this, but we’re so happy that they’re finally getting a facelift!
