The 5th Mela Phulkari Is Set To Hit The Town!

The 5th edition of the Mela Phulkari is all set to hit town this weekend and we’re super excited to go check it out! It’s got everything that’ll highlight the beauty of this heritage product from Panjab - the colourful phulkari!

History Of Phulkari & All Things Punjab! | This being the 5th edition, Mela Phulkari has taken into consideration the importance of the number 5 to Punjab. Firstly the name of the state, Punjab, the land of Five Rivers; the Panj Pyaras, five loved ones; Panchranga, five colours and lastly Panchtattva, the five elements, are all set to be spotlighted here!

There will be art installations celebrating the theme of ‘Panj’. Mela Phulkari is all about spreading the essence of life, spirituality and individuality. There will be a display of artwork, some performances and a whole lot of other things in line for you to go check out!

Not only this, they’ve also got performances lined up by some of the biggest artists like Jasbir Jassi and Rabbi Shergill. There’s also going to be a talk by the popular Imtiaz Ali! NICE!

And of course, they’ve also got some super beautiful phulkari dupattas for you ladies to go bananas over, so see y’all there!
