The 16th Ishara Intl. Puppet Festival Is Coming Back To Town For A 7-Day Extravaganza

The annual puppet festival, Ishara International Puppet Festival is back with its 16th edition and it’s going to be much bigger and better! With puppets from India as well as all over the globe, this festival is all about enlightening people about the cultures of the world, and this is a super fun and interesting way of doing so.  

Dishin’ The Deets | This seven day long festival will be featuring puppets from countries like Argentina, Brazil, India, Italy, Singapore, Thailand and Tunisia! Nice! These puppet shows mix the art of mime and theatre to make sure that the audiences have an awesome time.

These puppets comprise simple objects like ping pong balls, balloons and plastic bags which are given life via the act of strings and the puppeteer’s skillful fingers. This edition of the Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival will see all forms of puppetry, ranging from rod to string puppets; to mixed performances with dance, theatre, music and more.
