For 180+ Years, This Is The Longest Running Ramlila In The City Started By Bahadur Shah Zafar

It’s literally the best time of the year now, and we’re totally getting into the festive feel! With so many Dussehra celebrations going on in the city, we’re personally super excited to go attend the one at Shri Ram Lila Committee for a special reason!

180+ Glorious Years | According to legend, Bahadur Shah Zafar, the Mughal Emperor, started this Ramlila celebration around 182 years ago, making it one of the oldest Dussehra celebrations in Delhi! Their Ramlila show is unique and performed in the traditional way. The dressed-up actors parade through Old Delhi every day prior to every Ramlila show. Though the residents of Old Delhi might have lost interest in this parade, visitors find it to be quite the show!
