The final phase of contactless ticketing for 3,000 buses began on 1st March, Monday and this system aims to make travelling through the DTC buses more seamless. Here’s all you need to know about this development in the city.

A Contactless Travelling In DTC Buses? | A new system of contactless ticketing is being implemented through Chartr App and the buses included have an integrated Multi-Modal Transit System (DIMTS). Though the app trial is still underway, currently 3,760 buses are being run under this system. Did you know approx 4 lakh tickets have already been booked? Yep, and the pink ticket which allows women to travel for free in the buses makes up for 67% of the total tickets.

You can download this ticketing app using Google Play or can send them a ‘hi’ on the WhatsApp number +91 9910 096 264 for the URL. You can take a ticket after boarding the bus, and the app allows you to see the number of stoppages and real-time ETA. Once the destination is reached, the ticket becomes invalid.

This certainly sounds futuristic and super convenient to us, how about you?!
