Solar-Powered Electric Charging Points May Soon Be Set Up On The Delhi-Chd. Highway

We really like how the government is taking great strides towards more environment-friendly ways of commutation in the city. And in order to promote the use of electric vehicles, the government is up to something. Read on as we give you interesting news about them!

Bring On The Hybrids! | There may soon be electric vehicle charging stations throughout the 250 km Delhi - Chandigarh highway and that is great news! And the best part is that these stations will be powered by solar energy, so no burdens on the existing electricity demands. Just perfect!

This awesomesauce initiative has been taken by Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) and we really applaud their move! They’ll be designing and installing these charging stations as well. The charging fee for the electric vehicles might be considerably less than the prices of petrol and diesel. The idea is to encourage more of electric vehicles in the city so that air pollution can be controlled.
