A Conversation With Shagun Chadha - Founder of The Chic Jewellery Brand Called Eristona
Tell us a little about yourself!
I am Shagun Chadha, the passionate CEO behind Eristona; a website that retails in Statement Jewellery Pan-India. I overlook both creative and executive decision making, and aim to make Eristona as user friendly and up to date as possible; and eventually making it available to everyone worldwide as well.

Where do you draw your inspiration from?
Inspiration can come from anything and everything. Be it an event, a runway look, a book or even nature/plants & animals. When I see a combination of colours that are intriguing, or hear a story that plays a picture in my head, it’s all inspiration that translates into my designs.
What makes you different from the others in the industry?
Eristona is different because it’s doesn’t just focus on selling products but provides an all-rounder service! We believe in having beautiful packaging to compliment our high quality products; packaging that makes every order feel like a gift to yourself!
What is your take on Delhi’s style quotient?
Over the past few years Delhiites have become more and more conscious about what they wear, and how they wear it – allowing their fashion sense to have evolved. In today’s day and age, I would like to think that Delhi is one of the most stylish cities in this country.

One statement piece of jewellery every girl should include in her wardrobe?
A Jewellery Neutral. This means to have either a gold or a silver toned piece of jewellery in their collection. This can be paired with nearly every and any colour or outfit. Also, Gold and Silver baubles work perfectly in both, day and night.
How is Delhi different from other cities, has it impacted your career by any chance?
Like I said earlier, Delhi has become more conscious about their style choices, due to this reason Delhi people have begun to research a lot more before they shop. They like to know that what they are buying is worth their money and long lasting. As we are very careful about our quality, this has worked in our favour. In fact a lot of customers return to us time and time again, as they are extremely happy about the quality of goods they receive for the price they pay. They are most intrigued by our packaging.
What was the most difficult part that you’ve come across in the business?
I think business in general is a very challenging line to be in. When it comes to jewellery, making sure that you catar to your customer needs is extremely important for us. Eristona strives to make their jewellery available to the masses, from the college girl to the working girl. Due to this, sometimes fulfilling all the needs of all the customers can be tough.
What characteristic according to you is unique to Delhi? (What makes Delhi 'So Delhi'?)
Delhi is unique, it just is. You’ll find all sorts of people here, all sorts of places here and all sorts of activities. I feel like there’s no other city that can be so homely yet so daunting at the same time. Oh and let's not forget its traffic, that definitely is like no other city ever.
What is your advice to upcoming women entrepreneurs in the city?
Work hard, love what you do, be passionate about it, and don’t let anything come in your way!
Name one hidden gem in Delhi that you’d like everyone to know about?
Sunder Nursery is a beautiful place for an early morning stroll. Also, if you haven't already, do check out my website www.eristona.com which showcases a lot of hidden 'gems'!
Top three places that you love to hangout in Delhi?
1. Cyber Hub
2. DLF Promenade (Of course!)
3. Khan Market
One misconception about Delhi?
“It’s not safe.” – It’s as safe as you want it to be.
