Shawarmas Under Rs 100 @ This Place In Kamla Nagar

Shawarma joints have indisputably taken the streets of Delhi by storm. With more and more such joints sprawling all across the city, it's getting difficult to get your hands on the best ones. On such is Shawarma Wala in Kamla Nagar that not only serves delicious shawarmas but is also easy on your pocket.

Hidden in the bustling market of Kamla Nagar amongst the hub of other eateries, this shawarma joint is known both for its exquisite taste and budget-friendly prices. Although situated in the main market of Kamla Nagar, finding Shawarma Wala can be a little difficult as it's tucked away inside one of the many small gallis in the market. We tried some of its delicious shawarmas and rolls and here’s what we think:

Egg Shawarma

For the eggetarians, the place also serves fantastic Egg Shawarma. The taste of egg takes a prominent upper hand in this shawarma that turns out to be its biggest highlight. Cooked with eggs, onions and green chili, we couldn’t stop swooning over this perfectly cooked Egg Shawarma. Thumbs up for this one!

Chicken Shawarma

What good is a shawarma joint if it doesn’t serve delicious, lip-smacking Chicken Shawarma? Served with mayonnaise, their Chicken Shawarma does not disappoint! The minced chicken with sliced onions and green chilies and just the right amount of black pepper gave the shawarma its classic flavour without overdoing its essence.

Soya Shawarma

Those who believe that vegetarian shawarma can't be as good as its chicken counterpart, clearly hasn’t tried this place’s Soya Shawarma. The best thing about this one was that the spices are not overpowering so much so that it takes away from the real taste of shawarma. The taste of soya is prominent along with distinguished masala.

Garlic Chicken Roll

The Garlic Chicken Kathi Roll is a definite must try at this place. Filled with lots of onions, this roll keeps up with its name to bring out an impeccable garlic-y taste that goes amazingly well with the crisp and crunchy rotis that are freshly prepared. Chilli Potato Roll

The love we Dilli Wallas have for Honey Chilli Potato knows no bounds! It qualifies as an unmatched snack and when we found out that a Chilli Potato Roll is being served here we were legitimately excited! Brimming with chilli potatoes, onions and pepper, this made for a wonderful snack. Those looking forward to give their classic rolls a makeover can look out for this!

Lemon Chicken Roll

If there was anything in the place that was as sought-after as the Chicken Shawarma, it was undoubtedly their Lemon Kathi Roll. The lemony essence was infused with such skill that it didn’t reduce the chicken to just a sour aftertaste. The roll had the subtle presence of lemon juice that made it our personal favourite!

To soothe your taste buds after this roller coaster of a shawarma ride, the joint also serves a decent range of drinks ranging from Virgin Mojito to Fruit Beer to Ice Tea. A refreshing glass of Lemon Iced Tea was the perfect closure to a fulfilling meal.

The Shawarma Wala is the perfect place to grab a quick bite at an economical rate. Owing to its proximity to DU's North Campus area, this joint has become a hub for college students. We, for sure, have fallen in love with the place and would surely be going back. So what are you waiting for, go right ahead and dig in!
