A much-needed feature in the Delhi Metro to manage constantly-swelling crowds and prevent accidental mishaps and suicides is finally here!

DMRC has started installing screen doors at platforms that will block access to the tracks, providing a veritable shield between the metro-car and the platform.

After those installed at the Airport Express Line the first on the Yellow Line to get these is Chawri Bazaar Station, with New Delhi Station and Rajiv Chowk waiting in line!

Skipping to the cool bit, the side of the door facing the platform will have as many as 64 LCD display panels flashing ads - pretty neat wouldn’t you say?
