Romantic & Every Bit Dreamy | Here's a Walkthrough of Sabyasachi's New Flagship Store

Face it, we all wish for that larger-than-life wedding where we get to channel our inner divas. Every bride in town only has one name in mind when it comes to her trousseau and that's Sabyasachi Mukherjee, one of the finest designers known for his signature old world, cultural and traditional style, weaving his magic effortlessly for your d-day.

The news of him opening a brand new flagship store had everyone swooning with happiness, us included, and so we headed on over for its opening.

Located near Qutab Minar, the couture house seems to have retained that traditional essence Sabyasachi is well-known for and the store drowns in an ancient & vintage royal nostalgia. 

The store is divided in two sections showcasing women’s bridal wear on one side and women's traditional wear & men’s wear on the other. 

The huge palace like doors leads way to a palace-like room. With maroon-hued and patterned walls, it appears like all the walls depict brides mildly singing classical Kolkata songs and are warmly welcoming us. The tables were festooned with roses, rendering a more shaadi-like feel to the visitors.

From the carpets to the walls, everything is covered in the quintessential Sabyasachi pattern. To add to the ancient and classical quotient of the store are black & white pictures strewn across the walls and coffee table books featuring photos of a bygone era. 

And how can we forget those huge golden hued chandeliers; they simply hypnotised us and took our breath away! 

The couture, needless to say, was magnificent. With pastel hues, florals, golds & reds all so intricately done, the collection was a perfect fusion of classical and contemporary; each piece demanding to be taken back home! 

With such a captivating ambience featuring dream-like garments, visiting this store is nothing less than an experience. You just wouldn't want to step out!
