British Council’s Online Summer School & Fun Workshops Are Perfect for Your Little Ones This Summer

A lot of us pick up reading as a habit from our younger days, slowly but surely, flipping through pages and getting lost in a different world that takes us through adventures and fantasy lands. And as we grow older, we become discerning readers, choosing and picking books that help us grow and learn better, converting us into engaged readers! And that’s exactly what the British Council hopes to achieve with their new edition of the ‘Reading For Life’ programme for your tiny tots. Read on to know more! 

Reading Vibes Only! | ‘Reading For Life’ is a 3-week online summer programme by the British Council for children aged between 7 to 12 years. The programme aims to take your child from ‘Learning to Read’ to ‘Reading To Learn’ and help them grow as independent engaged readers. 

‘Reading for Life programme brings a completely new collection of books and workshops that will challenge the kids to read at least one book per week from their curated online collection of e-books, audiobooks and comics. This programme will promote the love for reading among children and strengthen their reading and listening skills and help them grow as motivated and confident readers. They also offer expert-curated workshops and book review writing tasks that will support them in enhancing their writing and inference skills and boosting their creativity and critical thinking. 

British Council has also launched the 11th edition of its popular online Summer School, a unique 2-week theme-based online course where your child will improve their language, communication and critical thinking skills to prepare them for a global world.

The summer school will focus on developing an understanding of various cultural perspectives, languages and genres through folk tales, crafts and art forms. 

The School will run in 3 batches from 26th April to 4th June, whereas the Reading For Life programme will run in 2 batches - from 1st May and then from 12th June, and every child will gain access to the British Council’s online library and receive a Certificate of Achievement endorsed by the British Council.
