Rajpath Will Now Be Known As Kartavya Path After The Redevelopment Of The Central Vista Avenue

Say G’Bye To ‘Rajpath’ As You Know It | The new triangular parliament building, the redeveloped Central Vista Avenue and the statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose under the canopy at India Gate will be unveiled TODAY, that is the 8th of September. 

The iconic Rajpath from Rashtrapati Bhavan to India Gate is all set to be renamed ‘Kartavya Path.’ The entire stretch and area from the Netaji statue at India Gate to the Rashtrapati Bhavan will now be known as Kartavya Path, in other words, the path of duty! The change comes as an endeavour to break free from the shackles of the colonial path, and in this golden year of independence, to make a new start. The idea behind the name is for it to serve as a reminder that the spirit of public service is not the ‘right to rule,’ but the ‘duty to serve.’ Not bad!
