5 Things Like Quirky Diaries & Eco-Friendly Pens We Hoarded @ The Stationery & Art Material Fair'17
With Delhi Book Fair creating frantic buzz all around town each year, we can’t help but fill our bags with all the lovely books we’d been eyeing for a while at every edition. And accompanying the book fair is always the Stationery & Art Materials Fair & let’s not forget that stationery makes our lives so much cuter and fancier. Keeping this firmly in mind, last year, we trotted to the hall with all the stationery (Hall 12), loaded down with books, and found ourselves in a different kind of world altogether! Here are the five things we hoarded here!
1. Quirky Diaries & Notebooks By Bunk Pages
These guys had some really cool off-the-wall and bewitching products. We filled our bags with their quirky bookmarks, gift-cards, travel notepads *yass*, notebooks, files & folders. We also came across a bunch of wrapping papers in absolutely spectacular designs. Buying 10 together fetched us 10% off, so we went big! We also found hand-made paper and wrapping papers in a boatload of crazy designs and fancy-ass colours, so make sure your wallets are at the ready this time!
2. Little Flower’s Eco Friendly Pens That Stole Our Hearts
The pen is mightier than the sword, and there was an army of pens at the stationery fair last year! From beautifully handcrafted eco-friendly pens from Little Flower to assorted super-cheap ones to Sheaffer’s high end collection of exquisite pens that are a class apart, we found them all here! Needless to say, if fancy and quirky pens don’t tickle your fancy, they also had regular use ball pens by the truckload.
3. Files, Folders & Even Laptop Bags @ Heavy Discounts
Files and folders of all types, sizes, and colours imaginable were up for grabs at the stationery fair and we had no excuse left to make for any loose documents lying around anymore! All those looking to change their laptop bags, wallets and card holders were in for an absolute treat here as well. There was a great variety of genuine leather goods at prices that surprised us - for example, we found some really cool laptop bags under 2000 bucks here which was not too shabby!
4. A Plethora Of Efficient Kangaro’s Office Stationery For Your Desk
There was a lot of office stationery to be found here, with a wide array of punching machines, staplers and the like for the die-hard hoarder in you. Munix - Kangaro’s stall was well-lit and had quite a few of their fancy products on display. For example, we saw some scissors that cut in so many different ways that you’d be confused which to choose!
5. Stocked Up On Our Art & Project Supplies With Faber Castell
We came across fancy stickers, glitters of a hundred different hues, sketch pens and pencil colours in more shades than you could’ve imagined for all those school/college projects! This place also happened to be a must-visit fair for artists looking to stock up on paints, watercolours, brushes and canvases because the variety and deals one would find here were nearly impossible to find anywhere else easily.
What These Guys Need To Improve
Unfortunately, some stalls here didn’t really fit in too well in a stationery fair - like one that showcased phone covers, lamps and hand towels. Although there were lots of funky finds at these stalls, we really couldn’t see the point of them at a mini stationery fair.
Then there was a luxury nuts brand right at the entrance of the hall and they seemed to be selling some really unique, flavoured nuts. Also, there was a stall at the back, selling copper water bottles in a variety of sizes. Again, these things had absolutely nothing to do with stationery so we found that a bit odd to say the least.
This time, hunt a little and you’ll find just the stationery items you’ve been looking for. Go buy everything your little stationery-loving heart wants!
