Liquor Shops Closed From Next Month | We all know that the new Liquor License Policy was recently approved and is all set to be implemented from November 16th, to be precise. According to the new policy, there will be a uniform distribution of liquor outlets in the city, including at least 2 air-conditioned vends in each municipal ward, 5 super-premium stores and 10 stores at IGI International Airport.

The policy also makes clear that the government will exit the business of selling liquor through its undertaking and this policy will help evade rampant smuggling of liquor from neighbouring states. The policy also states that each vend needs to provide a walk-in experience to reduce the crowding of citizens outside liquor stores! Now, due to this policy that is going to come into play from 16th November, all private liquor stores will remain closed till then from 1st October 2021. Only government stores are allowed to function during these 45 days.
