Pizza, Pasta & Chowmein: Have You Tried These 6 Quirky Samosas @ Kumar Samose Wala?
While pizzas, pastas and burgers hold a very special place in our hearts, the good old samosas will be our forever chai buddies! This Indian brother of a dumpling has been everyone’s favourite. From birthday parties to family gatherings, samosas sit on every dining table, ruling the spread and why the hell not?! With its crispy covering and scrumptious potato filling, we trust it to completely satisfy our core!
But since we like to Westernise everything, the good old samosa has been revamped too! This little place in the bylanes of Karampura going by the name of Kumar Samose Wala is the one to bring about this reform and we couldn’t be any happier! Serving almost 20 types of samosas, we knew we had to check it. So we hydrated ourselves, because Delhi is burning up, and marched down to Karampura with a hungry belly.
Not much to our surprise, there wasn’t any seating area or even standing tables, for that matter but we were definitely looking forward to the variety of samosas they had on offer! Just like any other halwai shop, they have a cooking area on the back and the shop in front. From pasta to pizza to paneer samosa, they've got it all!
So here are the types of samosas we stuffed our hungry bellies with!
1. Pizza Samosa
A crunchy outer covering, filled with corn, capsicum, carrots and loads of cheese is what describes this samosa best! Oozing cheesy goodness with black pepper and corn, this one made us lick our fingers for it was delectable. The size of the samosa was definitely bigger than the usual ones and Pizza Samosa became one of our personal favourites!

2. Italiano Pasta White Samosa
Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside was their Italiano White Pasta Samosa! With capsicum, carrot and macaroni tossed in white sauce *drools* this was a thoroughly quirky samosa. A hint of oregano and loads of black pepper made it even more appetising. So if you love white sauce pasta but also wanna have a samosa then this is a god-send for you!

3. Chowmein Samosa
Kumar Samose Wala has taken over Chinese cuisine as well! Stuffed with spicy street style chowmein, what really intrigued us was the amount of chowmein inside the samosa. Well, it was surely enough to stuff us! The chowmein had quite a noticeable amount of garam masala, making it even more spicy and toothsome.

4. Shahi Paneer Samosa
Well, since we’re turning it into Italian and Chinese, why not turn it more North Indian with some shahi paneer stuffing? Yes you read that right, samosa with shahi paneer stuffing *starry eyed*. Filled with paneer cubes mixes with spicy tomato gravy, just like our moms make it, this one was definitely a game changer! Also, there was no dripping oil which made it even better!
Price | Rs 25
5. Italiano Pasta Red Samosa
Since some people don’t like white sauce pasta, Kumar Samose Wala has an option for them too! They serve these delectable Italiano Pasta Red Samosas, stuffed with beans and macaroni in red sauce. Although the red sauce was not overly tangy, but still fared quite well for us!
Price | Rs 20
6. Tandoori Paneer Samosa
This was our last pick as we were too stuffed, but we regretted not ordering it earlier. It was ah-mazing peeps! Paneer cubes marinated in hung curd and condiments, with loads of capsicum made us salivate as we cracked it open! For all the paneer lovers out there, you must try it out!
Price | Rs 25
So Kumar Samose Wala surely filled our hungry bellies and souls and we would recommend you try out this little place for some exquisite samosas ASAP!
