Pig Out On Flavourful Tikkis, Sugary Rabri Faluda & More Starting @ Rs 30 Here In Sagar Pur

One of those days when our wanderlust took over and we were traversing through the tight lanes of the lesser-explored area of Sagar Pur, we stumbled on a seemingly humble shop called Rajendra Special that was curiously teeming with heaps of people. On a closer look, we realised it offered some of our favourite snacks including tikkis which inexplicably ignited our hunger. These guys have been in business for nearly 15 years but their regulars swear the taste of their snacks hasn’t changed a smidge.

A few years back, they took the bold step of making their own chickpea curry and mixing it with their tikkis and creating a beautiful fusion that has taken the locality by storm. Now, they’ve also included many cool drool-worthy desserts to beat the Delhi heat. These sweet treats include Rabri Faluda, Kulfi Faluda and lassi, all of which promise to be a delight to the taste buds.

1. Special Tikki

Quite appropriately named, this tikki was special in its own way for it was different in its way of preparation, as well as taste. The chole curry mixed with the tikki created a beautiful fusion and the toppings of red and green chutneys and the garnishing of green onions made the dish an absolute treat for the eyes. The aloo tikki was made with arrowroot which made it fluffy and taste  just divine. And the best part is that it also doesn’t hurt your pocket at all!

2. Rabri Faluda

The dessert that everyone loves is served here at throwaway prices with no compromise on the taste. Their beautiful plate of this sweet treat comprises pre-freezed rabri which is poured over a platter and topped with cold vermicelli (sewaiya) with sweet sugary syrup and a layer of Rooh Afza. Every bite of this sugar coma inducing dessert feels like a trip to Wonderland for your palate!

The looks of the place might fool you but let us assure you, their offerings won’t fail to hit the right spots and the dirt cheap prices are just an added bonus.
