Bookmark

Who doesn’t love a cone of hot & crispy fries?! The forage for scrumptious fries is increasing and led us to explore this particular hidden gem by the name of “The Belgian Fries Company” boasting of comfort food like fries, burgers, waffles , shakes etc!

Located on the second floor in Pacific Mall at the food court, there's a small yellow & white kiosk and the waft of freshly fried potatoes shall draw you right in. “Fries were never French”, going by their tag line, this place excels in serving fries with a large variety of toppings & dips with flavours ranging from Mexican Salsa to Chicken n Cheese!!

Here's what we tried here:

Paneer Makhani Fries

These were fresh thickly-diced potatoes smothered with a thick paneer makhani gravy. Despite being fried, the fries hardly left any traces of oil. A whiff of the luscious paneer makhani gravy possessing a unique blend of spices left us salivating. The paneer pieces in it were soft and squishy, evenly marinated, aptly stirred and thoroughly infused with the essence of the marination. All in all, a must try!

Potato Wedges With The Spl. Belgian Sauce

The potatoes were equally sliced and fried before sprinkling salt over them, post which they were served with a dip of our choice and we loved the varieties of sauces/dips available. We went for the most sought after one, the special Belgian Sauce. This homemade dip had a sweet-sour flavour with a tad bit of sourness in the beginning and then sweetness lingering on!

Hot Dog

A patty of potato and soya with a high quotient of spices formed the filling in the hotdog bun. The bun was garnished with salsa sauce topped with mayo and spring onions. The bread was soft and the spices perfectly complemented it.

Signature Fries Burger

TBFC knows the weak spot of its customers and probably that led to the invention of such an amalgamation. A regular burger went notches higher with the presence of fries in the middle along with the veg patty made of mashed potatoes, spring onions, garlic & peas. The existence of a special mayo sauce prepared by them acted as a catalyst in enhancing the flavour of the burger - a must try

Waffles

The fresh waffles were covered with chocolate sauce. It had a perfect crisp outside and was amazingly moist from the inside. They also have an option of having an ice cream or whipped cream on top, however we preferred ours without it.

Strawberry Shake

They have limited options in drinks but the ones available are worth every penny. We tried the Oreo Chocolate Shake and Strawberry Shake. We were in love with the presentation of the glasses in which they were served. The strawberry shake tumbler was a colourful one with gems stuck on its rim, topped with whipped cream, garnished with colourful sprinkles and a strawberry munchini pinned on the whipped cream *YAS*!

Oreo Shake

The Oreo shake also came highly decorated *no surprises there!*. The rim of the tumbler had chocos attached, topped with whipped cream and a chocolate munchini, this heavenly drink left us utterly satiated.  The best part of both the drinks was that they weren't overly sweet!

All in all, we'd say, give a miss to the regular fast food joints in the city and find solace in this new joint serving good quality comfort food!
