Our Favourite Destination For All Our Furniture Needs, The Banjara Market, Gurugram Is Set To Shut!
Whenever we wanted to shop for quirky furniture and home decor at affordable prices, our favourite pit stop has always been Banjara Market. Laden with a variety of furniture, vintage lamps and mirrors, pottery rugs, small storage boxes and even macrame hangings and cushion covers, this flea market has been our go-to spot to score all the latest and trendiest home decor. So it came as a shock to us when we heard it was going to be shut down! Here’s everything you need to know!
Favourite Furniture Market To Shut? | Banjara Market near Golf Course Road, the favourite home furnishing destination for all Delhiites and Gurgaon peeps is soon going to cease to be operational. According to HSVP, nearly 25 acres of their land has been encroached upon by the Banjara Market and the adjoining slum dwelling in Sectors 45, 53 and 57. Small shops started coming up on the stretch in the past 7-8 years which eventually gained popularity among the residents.
The HSVP says that they’ll soon be carrying out a massive demolition strike this week to free up the land from encroachment. They’ve even sought the help of the Police to help maintain law and order during the drive. This spells out the end of our favourite local flea market, which definitely disappointed the regular customers. What are your thoughts on this?
