Our Fave Piano Man Jazz Club May Be In Trouble! We Dish The Gory Deets Here

Our favourite jazz club in town, The Piano Man has been in the limelight lately for not-so-good reasons! For the past 4 days, the place has been in a controversy ever since an event flyer of a band, which called itself by a name derogatory to Dalits, made its way to Facebook. DAMN!

The band’s name was met with a lot of angry backlash, with many people calling for a boycott of the venue. So much so that on Monday, a petition on Change.org asking for the venue to be shut down began doing the rounds! This crazy uproar caused the band to change its name and the venue to cancel the gig outright. Wow. 

Arjun Sagar Gupta, the founder of The Piano Man has apologised to the people affected by the same too. 

We hope that this doesn’t land them into too much trouble!
