Open Till 1 AM & Serving Quarter Sized Portions - 6 Loaded Waffles At Moffle Waffle On Jail Road

Delhi is officially going waffle crazy with the amount of waffle joints popping up in town and we honestly wonder how long this waffle craze will last! Adding to the (never-ending) list, we happened to come by the newly opened Moffle Waffle on Jail Road that's open till 1 AM *woohoo!*. Here's all about it! 

The place has a well thought out decor with waffle cones & bulbs hanging upside down in front of a *waffle wall* of a crisp golden colour, a few stylish stools and tables inside and a counter that mimics a waffle with Nutella drizzled on it that's pretty instagrammable.

The unusual name of the place is after the owner’s white Persian cat (Moffle) who was missing the day we visited. We hear she's a permanent member of the waffle club. 

So here are the different waffles we tried here:

1. Moffle Special Waffle Sandwich

It looked as appealing as a double scoop hot chocolate fudge sundae, presented in a way that would whet your appetite for more. It was definitely special as the name suggested - a waffle sandwich topped with nutella, two scoops of vanilla ice cream and more nutella on top with pretty sprinkles and chocolate brownie crumbles.

2. Fruit Nutella Waffle

The waffles here come in many sizes - quarter, half and full. We ordered a half fruit waffle topped with blueberry and strawberry drizzle, Nutella and sprinkles accompanied by  a scoop of vanilla ice cream. They have mango and pineapple options as well but they are all tinned/canned. Fresh toppings would have made all the difference - we feel so you can skip this one.

3. KitKat Nutella Waffle

This one came dunked in Nutella, covered with a scoop of vanilla ice cream that was topped with melted chocolate, colourful sprinkles, choco chips and two sticks of KitKat. Well, what can we say? We hurried to ‘take a break’ and had our share.

4. Nutella Brownie Waffle

This tasted as divine as it looked - waffles topped with lots of Nutella, vanilla ice cream topped with more Nutella and chocolate brownie crumbles. The presentation was artistic and we couldn’t stop instagramming it against the waffle wall and we doubt you will too!

5. Oreo Nutella Waffle

This particular concoction was waffles topped with Nutella (which figures prominently in all the varieties), vanilla ice cream and Oreo cookies. Overall, it was a deadly combination high on sugar and finger licking good.

6. Moffle Special Bubble Waffle

This was the ultimate - a waffle with a bubble shape topped with three scoops of vanilla ice cream, loads of Nutella, choco chips, KitKat sticks and oreos. The melted hot chocolate formed a semi hard outer shell as it cooled over the soft oozing ice cream. Enough describing, you need to experience it for yourself.

Other dishes on the menu included shakes, fries, Maggi, softies and stoned ice cream too.

The only grouse we had was that the waffles sat heavily in our tummies, being overloaded with Nutella and other drizzles! So in case you wish to finish your waffles and try more than one, skip dinner.
