Dear East Delhiites, we’re bringing some good news that will surely make you jump with excitement. The authorities have decided to allow open-air cafes to function starting this week onward, and people can now serve food at open rooftops and open areas in their area. Scroll on for all the deets!

Open Air Restaurants Can Now Open In East Delhi! | With the current situation slowly stabilising, and with Delhi seeing a definite decrease in the number of new cases reported daily, East Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to allow open-air restaurants to open in the area, following the decision from their southern counterpart.

You can now expect open-air cafes, restaurants and eateries to finally open up in the area, following the anticipatory approval from the mayor and the consequent issued orders to the public health department for implementation. The East Corporation will allow dining in restaurants with open-air seating that have a health trade license and NOC from the fire department. These open areas should be privately owned and should not encroach upon public areas.

While open-air cooking and barbeque will not be allowed, light music for entertainment will be allowed within permissible limits and decibels! We’re definitely vying to try these restaurants soon! What about you?
