Ok Dilli! Staycations Are About to Become a Whole Lot Cheaper Now - Here's How
Did you know that as per the Delhi's Tax on Luxuries Act, if you stay at a hotel room where the tariff is above 750 bucks, you're also paying a luxury tax incorporated into the tariff? Now that you know how hotel room rates increase at whopping rates, we come bearing good news!
The Delhi Government has proposed to do away with the luxury tax on hotel rooms in cases where the rental amount is upto Rs 1,500. So even though this will have no effect on tariffs of posh resorts, but it'll definitely reduce the cost of staying at budget hotels.
Killing two birds with one stone, this move would not just attract more tourists but would also lead to greater ease of transacting business!
