Delhizens, you better get ready to shell out more money for parking at the DMRC parking lots as the fares are set to increase by 50% from May 1. *Uh Oh!*

What’s Happening? | After an eye-popping metro fare hike a few months ago, here’s another shocker from the DMRC! The parking charges at the metro stations is set to see an increase after a gap of 5 years. 

So people parking their cars at the DMRC premises will have to now pay Rs 30 instead of the earlier Rs 20 for upto 6 hours from next month. People parking their cars from 6 to 12 hours will now have to pay Rs 50 as against the earlier fare of Rs 30. And those parking their vehicles beyond 12 hours, will have to pay Rs 60 instead of Rs 40, which was the rate earlier.

The night charges for parking vehicles from midnight to 5 AM has also been hiked to Rs 60 from the current Rs 40. And, there’s more. DMRC has hiked the monthly charges for car parking from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,200. 

Also, bike owners, there’s some bad news in store for you too! The monthly charges for parking bikes has gone up to Rs 600 from the current Rs 475, and the rates have doubled for night parking. *Damn!*

So, you better gear up for this insane parking fare hikes which are gonna hit the city soon.
