Now You Might End Up Shelling Rs 1,000 A Month Just For Parking - Here's What's Happening!

Delhiites, get set to pay more for outdoor parking post November, as an all new parking policy is being considered for implementation! Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal will be reviewing the Delhi Maintenance and Management of Parking Rules, 2017, according to which parking fees of every parking lot across the city will be hiked; the minimum rate of which will be fixed soon and then further, an hourly charge will be tacked on! 

On-street parking will be revised to at least thrice the price of off-street parking and towing charges for violation of no-parking or overstay in authorised parking would be much higher than on-street parking fees! It’s said that parking fees might even go up to a whopping 1,000 bucks a month! WOAH!! 

Digging deeper, while parking spaces will be demarcated in residential areas and a fee will be levied, those who park outside their approved stilt parking will have to pay twice the normal rate! DAMN. 

So we’re waiting for the fee list to be up, and then let’s see what happens!
