Nosh On Delish & Creamy Dahi And Paneer Ke Sholay Starting @ Rs 20 Only Here In INA Market!
INA market, famed for housing scores of tiny, nameless stalls and shops, is always bustling with people. One such shop here belongs to Pandit Ram Sharan Sharma, which sells yummy fried snacks. Out of the couple of things this small stall offers, two items particularly stand out, which have actually become his speciality now - Dahi Ke Sholay and Paneer Ke Sholay.
Flaxen, Fried Beauties | The preparation of Dahi Ke Sholay is similar to that of a bread roll, with the exception that instead of a mashed potato filling, these sholays are stuffed with a mixture of hung curd, veggies and special spices to give it its memorable taste. What especially took us by surprise here is that the bread that they use is different from your typical bread. The one that they use is a lot thicker and much softer. The stuffing for Paneer Ke Sholay is same as their Dahi counterpart, with the only difference being the main ingredient. The sholays were deep fried to golden perfection, cut from the middle, thereby making them conical and served with a green spicy and tangy chutney, tomato ketchup and diced onions.
Yay For Sholay | As soon as we picked up the sholay, we could easily feel how crispy and crunchy the bread coating was. Upon our first bite, the deliciously rich and creamy dahi oozed out of its crispy crust and melted into our mouths. The chutney served along with the sholay was spicy and the ketchup with diced onions just enhanced the overall flavour of the snack. Next, we tasted the paneer ones, and yet again, we weren’t disappointed. The mashed paneer, coupled with capsicum and chutney, gave a new kick to the dish.
If you’re up for trying a new dish that’s packed with flavours and oozes richness, then hit up this place ASAP!
