No Parking - Literally! There's A Strict Decongestion Drive Happening On 29 Busy Roads
29 of Delhi’s roads are having a decongestion drive and all inhabitants of the city are advised to not park their cars here for their own good! The traffic nightmares faced by drivers and motorists while passing through choked roads in the city might finally end as Delhi Traffic Police is all set to begin a large scale anti-encroachment drive on some of the worst affected routes of the city! NICE!
A total of 29 such stretches have been identified as ‘No Tolerance Zones’ on which the decongestion drive has already begun or will very soon! The focus will be on removal of the vehicles parked on the roadside and imposing heavy penalties on the offenders.
The main purpose behind this decongestion drive is to punish illegal parking offenders. Since the fine amount as of now is pretty low, people keep committing this crime every now and then, and thus this needs to be looked into and heavily questioned!
Some of the roads where the drives will be carried out are the Aurobindo Marg, Mathura Road, Savitri Flyover, Mehrauli-Badarpur Road, Mehrauli-Gurgaon Road, Dhaula Kuan, Sardar Patel Marg, Najafgarh Road, Pankha Road, Vikas Marg, Ring Road and Outer Ring Road!
Can’t wait for this much awaited change in the city now!
