Due to the depleting level of groundwater in the city, Delhi Jal Board has decided to bless the city with 6 new artificial water bodies!

These water bodies are all set to be added in the south-west, west and eastern parts of the city. Two water bodies of 35 acres will be developed in Dwarka, which will add a whopping 10-15 million gallons per day to Delhi’s water production. Similarly, four more water bodies will be developed in Rithala, Rohini's Sector 25, Nilothi and Kondli, said Delhi's Water Minister Kapil Mishra.

Treated water from various sewage treatment plants will be diverted to these water bodies, which will not only help to increase the groundwater level but also add to the scenic beauty!

No more water problems soon guys * fingers crossed*!
